Inspiration

I love interior design, and I am more into the classic stile when it comes to design. So this is perfect! I love white, beige and you know , all natural and neutral colors. And spicing it a little bit up with some black boldness is gorgeous.

Christmas is arriving, so red and white are definitely colors that are going for the season.

Thanksgiving :)

Exactly 3 months after I got to the states, its time for my first thanksgiving. It was crowded, loud and super nice :) We ate waay to much food, like turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, meat pie etc. It was all really good. So guess I will have to run a little bit more during basketball on monday ;)

And on friday, we went to a bridal shower. We were 28 people, who spent the day over at their house. The bride, Liza, is getting married in June in England, so this seamed like a good time of year to have it, because everybody was gathered for thanksgiving. She opened presents and we had some games, and than had dinner.

Got home about 1.30ish so I am tired today. Went bowling today with some friends, totally won :) And now I am going to spend the rest of my saturday with Ben&Jerry Ice cream and raspberries and a scary movie :) Sounds like a good plan to me :)

Enjoy the rest of your weekend !

I have started on the basketball team..

Everybody else is joining a sport, and well you can choose between basket and skiing , when it comes to a girl. And I live in Minnesota. There are no whatsoever mountain here! So I joined Basketball. The thing is , I am really BAD. Never played it seriously before, just in gymclass, kinda fooling around.

Of course I am not on the Varsity team. But I am glad Im not :) And since I was gone last week. I lost 7 practices!! And we practice for 2.5-3 hours a day!!

Well well.. I guess it will be better once I get started for real.

So, Wish me luck!

I love these UGGs!

Okay, I saw these in Washington and decided not to buy them, because I wanted to save money for New York. I REGRET! Ahh I still really want them. So Maybe I am going to buy them online. They where so comfy, and a little bit different from all the other UGGs .

What do you think?

They cost $220, so about 1300 NOK

New York was awesome!!

The highlight of y trip was abselutelly New York! Which is my future home btw. Everything was just so overwelming. We went to Broadway and saw phantom of the Opera, which was extraordinary! I could see it again and again! Did some shopping in 5th Avenue and went to Time square. Wish we could have stayed longer.

We went to the statue of liberty. She is kinda a chubby lady, haha. And I have decided, I am going to live here some day for a couple years! New York is all about fashion, and I love it! Spent way to much money though..

me and Ga, she is so cute!

Washington DC- part two

Finally slept in a bed by myself tonight. Poor girl that had to sleep next to me the entire trip, is now sick because of me.. I am actually home from school today, since I am sick. Anyways, I feel like I need to put out more pictures from Washington. Took around 400 pictures here.

First we had to take a 36 hours bus trip to Washington. And no, we did not check into the Hotel before evening! So felt kinda awfull. But I got to know a lot of people at the bus. And the 36 hours went pretty fast bye. Saw a few movies, and slept a lot. Going to put out all about New York later today!

Here are some more pictures:

Washington DC- part one

Well I just went to Washington DC and New York for a week, and Niagra falls. It was an Exchange student trip with Nacel Open Door. We were approxiamently 92 students. So two big busses with people. God we had so much fun, havent laughed as much since I got to America.

Washington DC was so pretty! So many things to see, and way to little time. We had to get up about 5-6 every day .. zzZZzz So I am kinda exhausted now. And lucky me have been sick the entire trip! But despite that it was awesome.

The things we saw in Washington:

  • The Washington Monument
  • Holocaust Museum
  • Old Post Office, Bell tower
  • Smithsonian, Air and Space
  • Arlington Cemetary
  • Ford Theatre( where Lincoln got assacioneted)
  • White House
  • Union Station
  • All the Monuments!
  • The Capital, every part, including the library

Even though it was little time to sleep, we got to see a lot.

Some pictures:

Love them! German, Brazilian,French and Norwegian!

The Minnesotans!

Part two will come out later to day!

Living in The USA

Hi Everybody!

Last spring I decided to be an exchange student in America. I applied for the Southern states, but ended up in Minnesota. But I am glad I did. I am going to stay for ten months, and this is a real challenge, because never have I stayed away this long from my Family and friends nor did I ever think I would when I was seventeen.

Making friends was not as easy as many people would think it would be. Your class mates ask you some questions, but you have to make the effort to get to know them. Pillager, the town I am living in got 800 students , from first to twelfth Grade. I am a Senior here, and we are in total 50-60 Seniors.. Small school and small town. But I really like it here.

At first I was living at a ranch with 60 horses. It was great, but it didnt work out with the family, and trust me, the family is the most important thing. Because if your not happy with the family, you are going to miss home , more then you could ever imagine.

I am going to do my best updating my blog every day, cause writing everything I experience down here ,well it will be fun to look back at.
